'The Artworks' based in Frome put 'Artists 303'in the Frame

Established over 40 years ago, West Country Art Group Artists 303 opened their summer exhibition recently at The Meeting House in Ilminster. The exhibition runs from 5th to 30th July, 2008. At the private view Master Picture Framer Fay Goodridge of The Artworks based in Frome awarded 5 of the32 artists exhibiting £250 worth of framing vouchers.

Artists 303 is a group of practising professional artists who live in the South West and hold exhibitions together. It was formed with the stated aims of "promoting the work of members in exhibitions, encouraging members to maintain a progressively creative and serious approach to their work and supporting the cause of the visual arts."

Over the years the members have lived up to these aims with distinction. Now, in 2008, their diversity is their strength. Their members - painters, sculptors and printmakers are continually working to broaden their vision and develop their individual skills. It is always interesting to see how each artist's work is evolving from one exhibition to the next.

Although Artists 303 have staged many exhibitions to a particular theme or format, because members come from many different backgrounds, they can present an exhibition of great variety. The images produced by this contemporary and vibrant group are both imaginative and energetic, creating an exhibition which has something for everybody.

The Artworks offers bespoke picture framing services for artists, interior designers, business and lovers of art.

Whether a simple print or photograph, heirloom or original art, all work is treated with the same level of care.

As well as picture framing, they also offer more specialist skills such as needlework, box and object framing, traditional hand wash line and deep bevel mounts.

Based in Frome, Somerset, they carry out work for clients across the UK and beyond.
